My WWFA Wishing Well Fundraising Page

In 2022, we were fortunate to visit two countries in Africa. In addition to going on safaris, we had the opportunity to visit a village and experience daily life there. We were shocked by how little the people had- but what impacted us the most was how many villages lacked access to clean water. We saw women walking up to 3 miles each way, carrying buckets of water on their heads from polluted rivers and streams. It was truly heartbreaking. That experience stayed with us. We knew we had to get involved.
After returning home we spent a lot of time reviewing different water well charities to find the one we thought would fit us best. We chose to partner with Water Wells for Africa (WWFA) - a smaller organization where over 90% of donations go directly toward building wells. One of the things we love about WWFA is the transparency: we can see exactly where out donations are being used.
For Just $ 9,000 WWFA can install a water well that provides clean water to a village of approximately 500 people, and the well can last for 20 + years. Since our trip, we have personally funded one well per year. Our third well was installed in the Spring of 2025.
Wishing we could do more, we decided to set a new goal -- and invite our family and friends to join us: Fund 3 wells per year for the next 10 years.

To help reach our goal, Tim and Pam will match every dollar donated until we reach the target of three wells per year. We are hoping if we can get 500 people to donate $ 25.00 with our match , together we can build three new wells- and provide clean water to three entire villages.
