My WWFA Wishing Well Fundraising Page

Richard Bodner

Welcome to the Wells of Hope Campaign!

Every day, millions of people across rural Africa walk several miles and hours just to collect water—water that is still often unsafe to drink. This back-breaking work is often left to children, mostly girls, leaving them vulnerable to danger and unable to attend school. But together, we can change that.

This campaign supports Water Wells for Africa (WWFA), an organization with a strong reputation for transparency, sustainability, and life‑changing impact. Each well they build provides clean, safe water to approximately 500 people, transforming entire communities by improving health and giving children back valuable time in their day to just be kids and attend school. Their wells are built to last 20+ years, and they focus on some of the most remote and underserved regions—places many other groups don’t reach.

I've thoroughly researched WWFA, and they earn top ratings for accountability and financial stewardship, ensuring that donations create real, lasting change where it’s needed most.

If you’re like me, you want your donations to truly matter—to create real, direct change in people’s lives. I chose this project because I believe it’s one of the most effective ways to transform the future for hundreds of people each year. Access to safe, nearby water doesn’t just improve daily life—it reshapes a community’s entire trajectory.

My goal is to raise $4,500, and my family will be matching every dollar to bring the total to $9,000—the full cost of building one well in Africa.

By contributing to this campaign, you’re helping bring clean water, restored hope, and a brighter future to families who need it most

Thank you for being part of the solution. Together, we can bring life‑changing water to communities across Africa.
